STEVEN COOPER, President & Founder
Duties & Responsibilities
Steven Cooper is the President and founder of Cooper's Accounting Service, LLC. Mr. Cooper oversees all of the firm's operational engagements and utilizes his considerable experience to guide numerous clients in their day-to-day business operations.
Professional Experience
Mr. Cooper has numerous years of accounting experience. He began his career as the Accounting Manager of a professional photo lab in 1992, worked for two public-held companies, and also held a position with a medium-sized non-profit company.
As a non-profit specialist, he has conducted several seminars and training courses in non-profit accounting formatting its use to QuickBooks.
Education & Credentials
Mr. Cooper received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration –with concentration in Accounting from California State University of Los Angeles. He completed his tax certification continuing education. He is a member of the California Tax Educational Council.
Professional & Community Activities
Mr. Cooper has conducted several non-profit seminars at the Long Beach Non-Profit Partnership on how to use QuickBooks and internal control procedures.
MARICELA MURO, Principal
Duties & Responsibilities
Maricela Muro is a principal in Cooper's Accounting Service, LLC. Ms. Muro has experience in non-profit accounting, QuickBooks, budgets, tax preparation, tax planning, and attestation services. Ms. Muro oversees the firm's bookkeeping and budget engagements.
Professional Experience
Ms. Muro has been a member of the accounting industry since 1995. She began her career at Star Management as a bookkeeper. She expanded her accounting knowledge by executing the duties of accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing with Star Management and, most recently, with Prudential Management prior to joining CAS in 2001. Ms. Muro has completed several non-profit audits as well as performing audits that comply with Governmental Auditing Standards and the requirements of circulars promulgated by the Office of Management and Budget.

Ms. Muro received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis from the California State University at Los Angeles.
BJORN EDWARDS, Accountant

Mr. Edwards has experience in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, high-tech, software, magazine, financial services, entertainment, non-profit and government contracting. Mr. Edwards' clients have included publicly-traded, privately-held companies and non-profit organizations ranging in size from start-ups to corporations with revenues in excess of $100 million annually.

Mr. Edwards graduated from the University of California at Riverside where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting.
DR. VANESSA VOLMER, HR Consultant

Dr. VaNessa Vollmer is known for setting up individuals and organizations to succeed. VaNessa has successfully implemented Global Leadership Programs in HiTech Manufacturing Organizations. She comes with a proven track record of analyzing business problems through solution focused resolutions that save time and put money back into the bottomline. For example she implemented HR and Training initiatives that saved and organization over $77,500 within 4 months. She has done successful one-to-one leadership coaching & development for C-level executives. VaNessa has worked with administrative and hourly employees with their Professional Development and as a result seen many of the employees promoted within organizations. VaNessa operates from a practical approach that includes unique business knowledge and is driven in research based methods and successful results.

VaNessa graduated from U.C. Irvine and completed her Doctorate degree at United States International University. VaNessa has previously been CEO and VPHR. Experience comes from various sources including Aerospace, High Tech and Bio Tech Manufacturing, Non-Profit Organizations and Government. VaNessa is currently co-authoring a book on adapting leadership for success with authors who wrote Adapt! How to Survive and Thrive in the Changing World of Work.
